A Day in the Trenches: Keeping South Florida Comfortable

6:00 AM – Rise and Shine

The day starts early when you’re in the HVAC business. I grab my essential tools and head to the office for our morning briefing. South Florida AC’s dispatch center is already buzzing with calls from homeowners across Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, and Delray Beach.

7:30 AM – First Call

My first stop is in Boca Raton – an emergency furnace repair. While many might think Florida doesn’t need heating, those January mornings can get surprisingly chilly. The homeowner is relieved to see us arrive promptly.

10:00 AM – Routine Maintenance

Heading to Deerfield Beach for scheduled AC service. Preventative maintenance is crucial in our tropical climate, where air conditioning systems work overtime nearly year-round. I perform:

Filter replacement
Coil cleaning
Refrigerant level check
System performance testing

1:00 PM – New Installation

The afternoon takes me to Delray Beach for a heater installation. Working in confined spaces while maintaining safety protocols is challenging, but ensuring proper ventilation and system efficiency makes it worthwhile.

4:00 PM – Emergency Call

A last-minute air conditioning emergency in Boca Raton. In Florida’s heat, a broken AC is more than an inconvenience – it’s a comfort and safety issue. The satisfaction of restoring cool air to a grateful family makes these long days worth it.

6:00 PM – Wrapping Up

Back at the office, I complete my service reports and prepare for tomorrow. Working in the HVAC industry means every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help our local community stay comfortable.
